Its no secret that we cannot compete with the likes of Dixons and PC World when it comes to price, but we like to think that we can offer a superior service that warrants our higher price. Despite this, we do sometimes struggle to convince customers to steer clear of PC World.
Now we can some up our reasoning in one word: Watchdog. Yes, The Tech Guys (PC Worlds support section) were featured last night on Watchdog - watch it for yourself here.

Screen Size Reference Wallpaper
http://davidseah.com/2007/09/my-desktop-size-reference-wallpaper/ - This is a great wallpaper that I found to use as a screen size reference - if your designing websites it comes in handy as a little jig to resize your browser to different screen sizes - making it easy to see what a website looks like in different sizes.

SEO: Buying Links, Good or Bad?
Interesting article about the moralities of buying links - its pretty well known that Google strictly prohibits the purchasing of links to increase pagerank - not to say links can never be bought - just not for SEO purposes (IE Payed for links should be "no followed" as far as Google are concerned).
However, as the article points out, there are quite clearly benefits to paid for links - as long as you're not found out! Make up your own mind!

Getting removed from UCEPROTECTL3 Blacklist
If you run an exchange server you have probably come across mxtoolbox.com - a website that enalbes you to monitor your servers ip and make sure it does not get listed on any email blacklists.
You may have also come across http://www.uceprotect.net/ - which happens to be one of the only blacklist servers that does not allow de-listing as a standard service.
This can be a real pain, especially considering that you can get listed on their level 3 blacklist as a result of your ip block having a high amount of spammers. If you are actually sending out spam, then there is no way to get de-listed (fair enough) but if you are an inocent party, the only way to avoid getting listed in the first place is to whitelist your servers ip address over at http://www.whitelisted.org/ - which provides a paid for whitelisting service.
Makes you wonder how long before Email becomes a paid for only service!!
